Through a new partnership with a dentist in nearby Bambey, students in Ngonine experienced their very first dental screenings, with more than half identified as needing follow-up care.

Expanding our comprehensive student health program to include annual dental care is one of the ways Hope for the Future builds lifelong healthy habits at home.

Then, in the coming weeks, you will receive a detailed profile for your sponsored child, including their photo, personal story, and community background. To best equip Light of the World students for the future, it is our hope that sponsors will commit to sponsoring their students for the duration of the student’s education journey, depending on the student’s age and schooling stage. One of the fundamental challenges Hope for the Future is seeking to solve is low levels of education within rural villages in Senegal. This in turn fosters leadership and empowers communities to sustain these improvements and become self-sufficient and prosperous.
Yes! Creating and maintaining strong connections between sponsors and students is central to Hope for the Future program. Children are encouraged to write letters to their sponsors every three months. Letters will be transported via the Impact Senegal Team as they travel in-country to Senegal. Correspondences are closely monitored to foster meaningful relationships and engagements.
